James Van Bruggen

I grew up in George, IA. I spent my childhood in George, attending George/Little Rock community schools from kindergarten to high school graduation. After my time in George I attended and graduated from Iowa State University. My time at ISU was influential; I was taught by some of the best educators in all of Iowa, I found an outlet for my passion of public work, and I met my wife Kellee. After graduation I went to work in the Iowa House of Representatives and later to sit on the board of directors for Hemophilia of Iowa all while dedicating my time to public service.

As a child I always admired the dedication and service of our soldiers. As I got older I realized that I would be barred from service as I myself have hemophilia. Iowa has shaped me into the man that I am today; I would never have achieved all I have had I not been in Iowa. The best way I found to give back to my local community is by giving you a strong voice to represent your interests in the Iowa House of Representatives.
